This has been an exciting year for Jack White and Third Man Records with the release of Blunderbuss and Third Man Records’ 3 year anniversary. Vault package #14 is a collection that celebrates these accomplishments.

The LP for this quarter is a double album recording of Jack's live show, and solo debut, at Third Man Records from their 3 Year Anniversary Party on March 8th of this year. LP one features The Peacocks, backing up Jack and LP two is the second set featuring The Buzzards. The set took in classics from throughout Jack's career and showcased plenty of songs from Blunderbuss, which were heard for the first time that night for many. The LPs come housed in amazing packaging which will be a first for Third Man Records... a Lenticular gatefold cover! For those of you who may not be well versed in multiple dimensions, the Lenticular cover will show two separate images, in one. What you see depends on how you hold the record or which angle you look at it. The LPs, of course, will be pressed on split color Black & Blue vinyl.

The accompanying 7" for this package is very special as well and features demos of Freedom At 21 b/w Love Interruption and Hypocritical Kiss. Three Jack White bursts of inspiration captured in the moment only to be fleshed out in the studio later with a full backing band. These recordings were done on Jack's trusty field recorder, and give an intimate glimpse into his recording and songwriting process. The 7" will be pressed on signature Jack White BLUNDERBLUE vinyl.

And onto the third item in this package, which is another first. After the last Dead Weather tour in 2010 (that is to say, the last they've done, not the last EVER tour...) Alison Mosshart self published a book titled Shark Infested Soda Fountain of her photos compiled from their adventures on the road as a gift to the other members of the band. Beyond every page being packed with beautiful ethereal photographs, when viewed as a complete work, the book is a touching and one of a kind document to the unique love and camaraderie of the Dead Weather and the cast of characters that surrounded them in their international travels. Alison has been kind enough to allow Third Man Records to reprint this book in it's entirety and share it with the members of The Vault.

The Dead Weather will be releasing three versions of their single "Blue Blood Blues" this week including, most excitingly, on a brand new format entitled the Triple Decker Record™. The Triple Decker Record™ designed by Jack White and assembled by United Record Pressing Nashville, TN is a unique 7" version of the single embedded inside a 12" version. The Triple Decker Record™ will be available in a limited edition of 300 copies, 100 of which will be on-sale at the Third Man Records store in Nashville, and the remainder available randomly through mail order and at select brick and mortar vinyl dealers worldwide.

For those not lucky enough to pick-up the Triple Decker Record™, an alternate 7" version of "Blue Blood Blues" with a double-sided cover will be available as a standalone purchase and comes with b-side "Jawbreaker" (live). The Dead Weather will be performing at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Montreux, Switzerland on July 3rd. The Billings, Montana date has been moved to July 26th, apologies for any convenience this may have caused.

The Dead Weather, in conjunction with MySpace Music, are providing music fans with the next level of exclusive album access. On Monday, May 3rd, Myspace will be live streaming The Dead Weather performing their latest release, Sea of Cowards in its entirety. The band will perform the album front to back in the live room at the Third Man Records building in downtown Nashville, the same space in which they played their very first show in March 2009. This exclusive live performance will begin streaming at 3pm PST/6pm EST on MySpace Music as well as the band's Myspace page.

Prior to Monday's live performance streaming with MySpace, analog is going digital for the first time! Fans can tune into "Screaming Vinyl Live", a 24 hour listening party for Sea of Cowards. Embeddable Ustream players located on both Third Man Records and The Dead Weather websites will be playing the new album on vinyl via a live camera and audio stream, kicking off on Friday April 30th at 10am PST/1pm EST from locations in both Nashville and Los Angeles and will feature surprise guest DJs.
